The Origin of Enthusiasm

May 15, 2017

“Today is life-the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto.” -Dale Carnegie

En + -theos = within, there is a spirit/god/energy.  This is the root original meaning of enthusiasm. Isn’t it great! And isn’t it true, that when you or someone else you know is enthusiastic about something that they have an energy within them that just wants to burst!

Can you think about something that gets you so excited that you just come alive? Think about how captivating it is when you are around someone else who possesses this gusto? It tends to be contagious, and positive contagion sends ripples of change around the world.

The energy emmerges from either within or by external stimulus- think about a beautiful painting, or song- and than it sparks a sort of feedback loop.

The fundamental goal of The Lifestyle Project is to cultivate enthusiasm within ourselves and all of our friends. One of our methods for doing this is via destination transportation, where we immerse you into a different cultural atmosphere that engages with your senses. This sensory exposure can be a bit overwhelming sometimes but often, it awakens a curiosity that is unshakeable.

Enthusiasm is more than just interest, it is more than just excitement. For us enthusiasm is a feeling that can’t be denied. Once we realize what enthuses us, we are able to deepen our sense of time, and presently engage in the beauties of the universe. By understanding what enthuses our friends, we are better able to facilitate unforgettable life experiences through travel.

The possibilities are endless, and we hope that our own enthusiasm has been conveyed through this text. We encourage you to recognize those moments of invigoration, so that we can all inspire one another to grow healthily together and as individuals.

Let’s change the way we travel, together
